About Us
Association Companions for International Volunteering (ACVI Morocco) is a non-profit organization based in Ouarzazate, Morocco, promoting volunteering, intercultural exchange, solidarity, education, environmental awareness, and community development. We organize local and international projects including workcamps, educational activities for children, language teaching, cultural exchange, tree planting, environmental awareness, and the renovation and painting of schools and community facilities.
Working closely with children and local communities, volunteers can participate in workshops covering languages, science, arts, environmental education, games, and creative activities, as well as initiatives that promote sustainable development and the protection of natural resources. Through these projects, international volunteers can make a meaningful contribution while discovering Moroccan culture, sharing experiences, and building friendships with people from different backgrounds. Our goal is to use volunteering as a tool for positive social impact, mutual understanding, active citizenship, and international cooperation.

After breakfast, volunteers take part in morning activities, which may include educational workshops with children, language activities, environmental projects, painting, or improving schools and community spaces, depending on the project.
After lunch, volunteers have time to rest before joining afternoon activities, workshops, or local community initiatives. Evenings are generally more relaxed and may include cultural activities, group discussions, traditional Moroccan experiences, games, or free time.
The schedule is flexible and can vary depending on the project, season, and local needs. Volunteers are encouraged to share their ideas, skills, and creativity while working together in a friendly and multicultural environment.

Depending on the project, volunteers may stay in boarding schools, camping centres, or shared apartments. Conditions can vary depending on the project, location, season, and number of participants.
Before arrival, volunteers receive practical information about their accommodation and project arrangements. We aim to provide a friendly shared-living environment that encourages teamwork, cultural exchange, and interaction between Moroccan and international volunteers.
Meals are provided during our volunteering projects, with varied and balanced options including vegetarian meals and other dietary preferences whenever possible. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to discover traditional Moroccan cuisine and enjoy local dishes prepared with fresh ingredients.
Meals are an important part of the cultural experience, bringing Moroccan and international volunteers together. Please inform us in advance about any dietary requirements, allergies, or restrictions so we can make appropriate arrangements whenever possible.
During their free time, volunteers can relax, socialize, and explore Ouarzazate and the surrounding region. Activities may include visiting local markets, traditional villages, kasbahs, cultural and historical sites, as well as walks and excursions through the surrounding landscapes.
Volunteers can also enjoy cultural evenings, games, group activities, language exchanges, traditional Moroccan experiences, and informal gatherings with local and international participants.
