About Us

Adjah Cancer Support Ghana (ACSG) is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization in Ghana committed to supporting people and families affected by cancer and promoting cancer awareness, prevention, early detection, health education, and community wellbeing.

Our motto is “So no one faces cancer alone.”

ACSG works with communities, health professionals, schools, volunteers, organizations, donors, and other partners to promote greater awareness of cancer and strengthen community health. Our work includes cancer education, community outreach, early-detection awareness, support for community health screening activities, patient and caregiver support, school and youth health education, fundraising, research, and public education.

Through our Global Health Hospital Elective in Ghana, we seek to create meaningful opportunities for healthcare students and professionals to learn about healthcare delivery in Ghana and gain international exposure in a different health system. Participants can learn from local healthcare professionals, observe healthcare practices, and develop a broader understanding of global health and community health challenges.

We believe international learning should be based on respect, responsible engagement, cultural understanding, and a willingness to learn. Our approach encourages participants to appreciate the realities of healthcare in Ghana while sharing knowledge and experiences from their own backgrounds.

ACSG is committed to creating a supportive environment where participants can learn, engage with local communities, and develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between healthcare, community needs, and social factors.

We believe that meaningful international experiences can broaden perspectives, strengthen professional development, and build lasting connections between people and communities.
