My experience here was truly heartfelt and unforgettable. I will always cherish the memories and friendships I made with the wonderful people there. I spent one month at this NGO with three friends, during which we immersed ourselves in Tamil Nadu culture, learned about Pongal, shared daily life with the community, and contributed by managing social media and organizing a fundraising initiative for the adoption center. Although there were occasional communication misunderstandings, we took initiative, proposed small independent projects, and everything worked out in the end. I will miss this place deeply.

The experience at BLESS was simply unforgettable! From the first day onward the family and staff made me feel very welcomed, even taking me to an Indian wedding on the first weekend. The food was always fresh and delicious, so you never got hungry. At first, I was a little confused about my tasks but after some time it became clear that I was going to be involved in a housing project to support a rural and needy village. The work was definitely eye-opening. I recommend this opportunity to anyone who would like to immerse themselves into the Tamil culture and experience rural India first hand!!

My month at the association with three friends was truly unforgettable. Although communication and our role were unclear at first, especially during the busy Pongal period, we gradually found our place and contributed through small projects like helping in the kitchen and adoption center, teaching English games in a nearby village, managing social media, and organizing a fundraiser. It was a deeply cultural and educational experience that made me feel part of a family. I’m incredibly grateful to all the people who welcomed us with kindness and made us feel at home, and I hope to return one day.

I spent one month here and had a wonderful experience. There are many projects, and taking initiative is important, but once you find your balance it becomes very special. We taught English, helped in the kitchen, and organized a fundraiser for the Adoption Centre. The people were the best part—especially Ammu’s kindness and delicious food—and despite some language barriers, we felt truly welcomed. Being there during Pongal allowed us to connect deeply with Tamil culture. I’m very grateful for this experience. 🌼
