Ecotourism Nusa Penida
Host and Volunteer, Marine conservation & eco-conscious internship!
About Us
Ecotourism Nusa Penida was created by our conservation community Nuansa Pulau, which is committed to protecting our environment since 2017. Since then, we have planted more than 95000 corals. We actively rehabilitate coral reefs and mangrove forests, conserve traditional seaweed farming procedures, and work on a sustainable future for our island as we educate the new generation.

Nusa Penida is more than a dive spot or photo backdrop — it’s a fragile island under tourism pressure. I helped plant coral, restore mangroves, and learn seaweed farming with locals like Mona, Ayu, and Nyoman, who shared the island’s true culture and deep love for the ocean. This program is real, responsible travel — connecting with nature and the people protecting it. If you visit, give back, join the program, and leave the island better than you found it — I did.
"I had an amazing day with Gede learning about corals and the importance of farming and restoration to combat climate disruption. It was a hands on day, we went to collect the coral, attach them to rope and then plant them in the little nurseries! What an incredible experience. If I had time I would love to do their internship as you can learn soso much more about seaweed farming and mangrove planting aswell as give back to the community and school education days!
