About Us

   IPBio partnered with FreeWildlifeBrazil Celine, a non-profit dedicated to the release of native birds also located on the Betary Reserve and in 2024 Celine and IPBio became one organization working together with a joint volunteer/intern program which aims to preserve and protect wildlife. IPBio is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that develops and supports projects in environmental education and scientific research on biodiversity, ecology as well as on the behavior of species of fauna and flora of Brazilian ecosystems.

● General work hours are from 9.30am to 16pm. Activity changes daily between gardening and seedling preparation, fish inventory, bird inventory, mushroom inventory and more.

● The guest house includes 2 shared rooms and 6 private rooms. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning or a fan, closet space, and electrical outlets. Private rooms also include a desk and chair. The house features 3 bathrooms with hot showers, a washing machine.

● No, however, we provide a fully equipped kitchen so that participants can do their own shopping and prepare their own meals.

● 1500 Brazilian reais per week via paypal which is equivilent to 250 euros a week. Or 215 Brazilian reais a day or 35 euros a day. Non-refundable.

I. You must be over 18 years of age

II. You must be able to speak English at an intermediate or high level

● IPBio does not ask for any formal requirements from participants as the roles are too varied to demand specific educational qualifications or work experience. However, we have limited space at the reserve and we must consider the needs of the Institute so we will not be able to accommodate all applications therefore we require applicants to submit their CV and conduct a short interview before selection.

● This fee covers the coordinator, accommodation, internet access and project costs.
