Liseli Initiative is a community-based NGO in Livingstone, Zambia, working to empower marginalized children, youth, women, and families to build safer, healthier, and self-sustaining communities. “Liseli” means “Light” in Lozi, reflecting our belief that everyone can bring hope and positive change. Our work focuses on education, youth development, gender equality, women’s empowerment, health, water and sanitation, and livelihoods. Volunteers contribute their skills and ideas while gaining meaningful experience in Zambian culture and grassroots development. We believe lasting change happens with communities, not for communities.
