My daughter and I volunteered in a school in Accra Ghana with RisingSun Volunteers. I must say they are organised and the facilities at the home stay is spectacular. It feels like home away from home. Even though we spent 3 weeks we actually had a feel of the Ghanaian culture and the way we were treated was so nice. I and my daughter will go again and I tell you to look no further, RisingSun Volunteers is an organization to volunteer with.
After a long search online I finally decided to volunteer through RisingSun Volunteers because they offer the lowest volunteering fees in Ghana and various volunteering placement types providing a quality and meaningful social impact. I stayed for 3 weeks and I was a volunteer coach. I helped them with soccer and also introduced different sports to the children. They were all full of smiles when ever I was around them. It’s an unforgettable and a memorable experience I have had in my life.
During my volunteering period, I found it astonishing to see poor and deprived people but still very happy. Volunteering with RisingSun Volunteers has been a good experience in my life and it gave me the opportunity to work with children and that has always been a dream of mine. I felt safe my whole time in Ghana and the accommodation was very comfortable for me. I was surrounded with caring and loving people with positive energy. The team were so professional.
