● A Day in the Life of a Volunteer
● Start your day immersed in the joy and energy of our children! From 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, you’ll assist our local teachers in our elementary school with children aged 3 to 6 years. Help teach basic Math, English, Reading, Writing, Arts, Health, Swahili, and play-based learning, while also participating in fun games and activities.
● Whether you have teaching experience or simply a passion for helping children, your presence will make a difference. Volunteers can share new teaching methods, correct classwork, play with children, serve meals, or assist with daily classroom tasks. Every moment is an opportunity to create meaningful connections and help children thrive.
● In the afternoon, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, older children aged 7 to 14 attend extra lessons to improve their English, Mathematics, and Computer skills. Volunteers guide, support, and inspire these eager students alongside a local teacher, helping them build confidence and achieve their goals.
● Volunteers work 5 hours per day, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. On Fridays, we celebrate Sports Day! Join teachers and children in fun games and sports on the school playground , a perfect way to relax, bond, and enjoy the vibrant spirit of our community.

I spent 4 weeks in Chamazi and it was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. The children are always happy and it’s lovely to study and play with them during the day, also the local teachers are really kind. I really recommend this experience, the atmosphere is wonderful and the people working there always show you support.

I spent 4 weeks at samaritan Volunteer. It was one of my best experiences. Everything was well organized, and Emmanuel and Jackson were always available if we needed them. I was in the simplex school and it was an incredible experience both with the children and the teachers. The children are very endearing; every morning they greeted me with a hug. They always have a smile on their face and are very happy to have you help them. The teachers are very welcoming and will help you if you have any questions. I hope to return one day.
