About Us
We are a small community school located in Tnol Trong Village, just 13 km from Siem Reap, Cambodia. The school is a registered non-profit NGO, founded in February 2013 by our family.
Cambodia is experiencing strong growth in tourism, creating future job opportunities, especially around Siem Reap. For these children, English is essential. Our goal is to provide children from disadvantaged backgrounds with free English and Chinese education, helping them access better employment opportunities in the future.
We currently offer free English classes to nearly 180 children from the Bakong community. Many families face challenges such as limited access to food, water, healthcare, and school-related costs like uniforms and fees. For many children, education is the only path to break the cycle of poverty and build a better future.
We welcome volunteers to support us in giving these children better educational opportunities and brighter futures.
Program at a glance
Why choose us?
In addition to providing English lessons, we also support families in the surrounding community through school donations. This includes buying rice, distributing meals to children, helping with school uniforms and medical expenses, and installing water filters.
By joining our program, you are not only participating in a school project but also contributing to the wider community and helping improve living conditions and opportunities for many families.
Requirements
While formal teaching qualifications are not required, some class preparation will be expected. What matters most is a patient, reliable, and fun attitude, along with a genuine interest in working with children.

You will live at the school in a traditional Khmer-style home with other volunteers. Each volunteer has a personal double bed, although bedrooms may be shared if necessary. Rooms include a dresser, mosquito net, and fan. Volunteers have access to western-style toilets and showers, and filtered drinking water is provided. You will also enjoy delicious daily Khmer meals prepared by my wife.
