Start your day with the energy and joy of our children! From 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, you will assist local teachers in our elementary school with children aged 3 to 6 years. You will help teach basic Math, English, Reading, Writing, Arts, Health, Swahili, and play-based learning, while also joining fun games and activities.

Whether you have teaching experience or not, your support makes a real difference. Volunteers can help with classwork, play with children, serve meals, and assist with daily classroom tasks. Every moment is a chance to connect and help children grow.

In the afternoon, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, children aged 7 to 14 attend extra lessons in English, Mathematics, and Computer skills. Volunteers support and guide them alongside local teachers, helping build confidence and learning skills.

Volunteers work 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. On Fridays, we have Sports Day with games and activities on the playground, creating fun and bonding time.

Volunteers contribute 15$ per day.

Volunteers will stay in our safe and comfortable volunteer house located near the school in Chamazi village, Dar es Salaam. The accommodation provides a welcoming environment where you can relax, connect with other volunteers, and prepare for daily activities.

Rooms are shared with one bed per volunteer (same gender). Private rooms may be available depending on availability. Clean bedding and towels are provided.

Facilities include three meals per day prepared by a professional chef (special diets available on request), shared bathrooms, Wi-Fi in the living area, a common lounge space, and a fully equipped kitchen for self-cooking. The house also has 24/7 security for a safe stay.

Nearby, you will find local shops and markets within walking distance, plus public transport for exploring Dar es Salaam and surrounding areas. This accommodation offers a friendly and safe environment to rest, connect, and experience local life while volunteering.

At our volunteer house, we provide three nutritious meals per day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—prepared by our professional chef. All meals are cooked with high hygiene standards to ensure safety and quality for volunteers.

Meals include light and wholesome breakfast options to start your day, followed by freshly prepared lunch and dinner with a mix of local and international dishes. We can also accommodate vegetarian, vegan, or other dietary requirements if informed before arrival.

Volunteers who prefer can also use our fully equipped kitchen to prepare their own meals. Drinking water is available from nearby stores at an affordable price (around $0.50 per 1.5 liters).

Our meals are designed to keep you energized throughout your volunteering experience while also giving you a taste of authentic Tanzanian cuisine. Sharing meals is a great way to connect with other volunteers and experience local culture.

During your free time, volunteers can explore, relax, and experience the beauty of Tanzania. You can explore Chamazi village, meet local people, browse markets, and experience daily community life.

You can also learn basic Swahili phrases and immerse yourself in local culture. Cooking traditional Tanzanian meals with locals is another fun cultural experience.

For sports and recreation, volunteers can play football and other games at community sports grounds. Nature lovers can enjoy hiking in nearby forests and mountains or relax at beaches near Dar es Salaam.

On weekends, volunteers often take trips to Zanzibar, enjoy affordable safaris, or visit cultural and historical sites.

Free time is also a great opportunity to connect with other volunteers, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. Whether you prefer adventure, culture, or relaxation, your free time will be safe, enjoyable, and memorable.
