About Us
Adjah Cancer Support Ghana (ACSG) is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization in Ghana committed to supporting people and families affected by cancer while promoting cancer awareness, prevention, early detection, health education, and community wellbeing.
Our motto is “So no one faces cancer alone.”
Cancer can place significant physical, emotional, and financial pressure on individuals and families. ACSG works to help address some of these challenges by connecting communities with information, support, resources, and opportunities for greater awareness.
Our work includes cancer awareness and education, community outreach, early-detection education, support for community health screening activities, school and youth health education, patient and caregiver support, assistance for vulnerable people affected by cancer, fundraising, research, and public education.
We believe that communities play an important role in improving health outcomes. We therefore work alongside communities, health professionals, schools, organizations, donors, and other partners to develop practical activities that respond to local needs.
A key focus of our work is encouraging people to learn about cancer, understand risk factors and warning signs, and appreciate the importance of seeking appropriate medical care and early detection.
We also seek to support vulnerable patients and caregivers where resources are available, while connecting people with partners and other sources of assistance when additional support is needed.
ACSG values compassion, respect, community, collaboration, integrity, and service. We believe that meaningful change is possible when people come together and contribute their knowledge, skills, resources, and time.
We are continually working to strengthen our community activities, develop partnerships, reach more people with reliable health information, and increase support for those affected by cancer.
