Why choose us?
MCODE is a community-based organisation with hands-on experience, working directly with the marginalised targeted people in the last-mile communities. MCODE works on the most critical problems that affect the people we work with and who always identify their own community challenges. Volunteers can come to support our work physically or technically in the areas of promoting climate-smart agriculture, agroforestry, permaculture, and Farmer Managed Natural Regenerative practices, which all contribute to restoring the ecosystem, hence conserving biodiversity.
Requirements
MCODE would like to host volunteers with a passion for, experience in, and skills in one of the following areas: agroforestry, permaculture, regenerative farming, organic farming, and tree raising and planting.
Volunteer experience
A typical day of volunteering at MCODE starts at 8:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM, with two breaks (a breakfast break and a lunch break). However, this may change depending on the type of activity being conducted, so there is flexibility for individual volunteers.
Free
MCODE has basic accommodation in self-contained rooms (with a toilet and shower inside), and electricity is available. The rooms are located at the farm.
MCODE's meal schedule includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making a total of three meals per day.
Volunteers are free to pursue activities of their choice.
