Welcome to Impacta México, a Mexican nonprofit organization connecting international volunteers with meaningful cultural and educational experiences in the heart of Mexico.

Through our English Assistant Teacher Program, international volunteers support English learning in local educational institutions while experiencing everyday Mexican life.
Located in Morelia, a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage city, our programs offer the opportunity to discover Mexico beyond the typical tourist experience.

Requirements
We're looking for enthusiastic international volunteers who love cultural exchange, education, and meaningful travel!
✅ Minimum age: 18 years old.
✅ English proficiency: B1 level or higher.
✅ Interest in supporting English education and working with students.
✅ Positive attitude, responsibility, adaptability, and respect for local cultures.
✅ Willingness to collaborate with local teachers and participate in educational activities.
✅ Ability to cover personal expenses and the program participation fee.
✅ Valid passport and appropriate immigration documentation when required.
**No previous teaching experience is required!**
🇲🇽 Spanish is NOT required, although learning a few words will make your experience even more enjoyable.

Volunteer experience
☀️ **Teach, Explore & Experience Mexico!**
Your day begins at a local educational institution, where you'll support English teachers and interact with Mexican students in a welcoming environment.
📚 **Your activities (4–5 hours per day, maximum 4 days per week):**
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering English lessons.
• Lead conversations, games, and interactive activities.
• Help students improve their speaking and listening skills.
• Share your culture and traditions with local students.
• Support classroom activities and learning assessments.
🌮 **Your afternoons and free days are yours to explore!**
Discover Morelia's historic center, enjoy Mexican food, visit local markets, practice Spanish, or spend time with other international volunteers.
Weekends are perfect for exploring Michoacán, visiting Pátzcuaro, and discovering Mexico's incredible culture.

€140 per week

During your program, you'll stay in our volunteer accommodation in Morelia, a comfortable place to relax, connect, and share experiences with international participants.

🥑 **Start your day with a taste of Mexico!**
We provide basic breakfast supplies during your stay, helping you start your mornings before heading to your volunteer activities.
Our accommodation also has kitchen facilities where you can prepare your own meals.
🌮 Morelia is a fantastic destination for food lovers! During your free time, you'll have the opportunity to explore local markets, traditional restaurants, and authentic Mexican street food at affordable prices.
A traditional Mexican dinner is also included during our organized cultural trip to Pátzcuaro when specified in the activity itinerary.
**Please note:** Lunch, dinner, and additional personal food expenses are generally not included in the weekly program fee.
