● A typical day begins early in the morning surrounded by the sounds of the Amazon rainforest, followed by breakfast and preparation of food for the animals.

● Volunteers actively participate in feeding a wide variety of rescued wildlife, from monkeys to parrots, creating a meaningful and hands-on experience.

● Throughout the day, tasks include cleaning enclosures, maintaining paths, and supporting the overall care and well-being of the animals, as well as creating enrichment activities to stimulate their natural behaviors.

● In addition, volunteers may assist in the quarantine area with newly rescued or young animals, gaining valuable insight into wildlife rehabilitation.

●  The workday usually finishes in the afternoon, leaving time to relax, connect with other volunteers, explore the beautiful surroundings of Puyo, or visit nearby places like waterfalls and jungle trails.

●  Every day is different, rewarding, and an opportunity to make a real impact while living a unique experience in the heart of the Amazon.

● Volunteers are accommodated in a shared house located near the zoo, surrounded by nature.

● The house includes 5 bedrooms with both single and double room options, allowing us to host several volunteers at the same time.

● There are 2 shared bathrooms, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining area, and a communal space with hammocks for relaxation.

● The house is equipped with electricity, Wi-Fi, and hot water, ensuring a comfortable stay while still enjoying a simple and authentic experience in the Amazon.

● Bedding such as sheets and blankets is provided, and the shared environment encourages cultural exchange and connection among volunteers from different parts of the world.

● Volunteers are provided with ingredients to prepare their own breakfast, such as bread, milk, eggs, coffee, tea, and chocolate.

● Lunch and dinner are prepared by a cook and served at the zoo, offering a nutritious and balanced diet.

● On weekends (days off), only lunch is included, and volunteers should notify in advance if they plan to eat at the zoo.

●  Please note that beverages, snacks, and personal extras are not included.

● The fee is 200 USD per week, which is approximately 180 euros per week, depending on the exchange rate.

●  This equals around 25–28 euros per day.

● This contribution includes accommodation and meals, and 80% of the fee goes directly toward supporting the wildlife conservation project, helping care for rescued animals and maintain the center.

●  Volunteers need to be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent if under 18).

● No previous experience is required, but a positive attitude, responsibility, and willingness to work with animals are essential.

●Volunteers should be prepared for physical tasks and living in a tropical environment.

● Basic Spanish is helpful but not required, and travel/health insurance is necessary.

● The fee includes accommodation in a shared volunteer house with Wi-Fi, electricity, and hot water.

● It also includes meals: breakfast ingredients and prepared lunch and dinner during working days.
