Organic Farm Volunteer

🏢 Hosted by Pun Pun organic farm and center for Self Reliance · 👤 Min age 18+

About Us

Pun Pun is an organic farm and learning centre that began working with the land around 2004. Through organic farming and sustainable practices, we have transformed land that was once used for corn plantations into a thriving, biodiverse organic farm.

Today, Pun Pun is home to a community of around 15–20 people who live, farm, and build together while raising their families. It is a place for learning, community living, sustainable agriculture, and connection with nature.

A typical day at the farm begins with breakfast together, followed by joining a community member who leads the volunteer group in daily farm activities. Tasks vary depending on the season and what is being planted or harvested and may include different aspects of organic farming and farm maintenance.

Volunteers work six days a week, with Tuesdays as a rest day. The usual working hours are 9:30 AM–12:00 PM and 2:00–5:00 PM, leaving the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Volunteers are also expected to help prepare meals at least twice a week, providing an opportunity to share, learn about food, and understand food security through cooking with ingredients grown on the farm.

€95 per week

We typically host 4–8 volunteers at a time. Accommodation may include a combination of private rooms and single-gender dormitory spaces, depending on availability and the activities taking place at the farm. As we regularly run courses throughout the year, accommodation arrangements may vary.

Volunteers are provided with three nutritious buffet-style meals each day. Filtered drinking water is also available in the dining hall, with water filtered on-site for everyone to enjoy.

During their free time, volunteers can visit a nearby forest temple, swim in the farm’s large pond, or relax at a local coffee shop with a spacious patio and Wi-Fi, which is also a great place to work or unwind. Volunteers visiting the temple are asked to dress appropriately and respectfully.
