Foundational Learning program

Spark-A-Change Foundation (SAC) is a 10-year-old Mumbai-based NGO registered as a Public Charitable Trust with 12AA, 80G, CSR-1, and FCRA certifications.

- Vision:
Every child receives education and has access to equal opportunities for a better future.

- Mission:
To create transformational change in school-going children from low-income backgrounds by providing knowledge, values, skills, and support through joyful and positive learning experiences. SAC connects children with well-intentioned, educated adults who help them develop confidence, achieve their potential, and excel in life.

- Programs:
SAC aims to support students and youth throughout their educational and vocational journeys through in-school and after-school mentoring programs delivered by educated, skilled, and passionate individuals. These programs are supplemented with co-curricular activities designed to provide holistic developmental experiences and help create responsible future citizens.

- Aims to strengthen foundational concepts in English and Mathematics for school-going students in Grades 1–7

- Provides after-school learning centres within BMC schools and public gardens

- The program provides an excellent opportunity for volunteers to engage with children through carefully curated and easily deliverable learning modules

- Offers periodic training for volunteers on curriculum delivery and class management to create a positive and thriving learning environment

- Conducts weekend developmental programs focused on life skills, art, movement, and critical thinking for a holistic learning experience

- Provides stationery, study materials, workbooks, etc., free of cost to participating students
