Marine Conservation Internships

🏢 Hosted by The Coral Tribe · 👤 Min age 18 years

About Us

We are a marine conservation organisation with over a decade of hands-on experience protecting the reefs of Koh Tao.

Our focus is to protect coral reefs through restoration, research, education, and community action. We train both divers and non-divers to take part in real conservation work, including coral restoration, reef monitoring, citizen science, internships, and environmental initiatives. We collaborate with local dive centres to promote a united, science-based approach to reef protection.

As climate change and human impact continue to threaten marine ecosystems, our mission is to provide practical skills and real field experience that participants can apply beyond the program.

Our projects focus on both natural and artificial reefs, collecting long-term data and actively supporting reef health improvement. Whether beginner or experienced, everyone can get involved in meaningful marine conservation.

Why choose us?

As a Marine Conservation Intern, you become part of our working team from day one. You will assist with data collection, reef monitoring, restoration maintenance, and the organisation of conservation dives and volunteer activities. You are not just observing, you are actively contributing to ongoing projects.

Our internship is dynamic and responsive, just like the ocean. The schedule changes depending on weather, dive conditions, and environmental needs, meaning no two weeks are the same and you gain real field-based experience.

You may conduct reef surveys, monitor coral health, maintain artificial reef structures, collect research data, or participate in island-wide conservation actions and initiatives. All of this helps you build practical diving and ecological skills.

If you are looking for purpose-driven diving and hands-on marine conservation experience, this program helps you grow from diver to conservationist.

Every dive matters.
